Bablock Hythe Caravan Park is a beautiful riverside holiday park located on the banks of the river Thames, near Oxford.
We have two caravans for hire, which can be rented for WEEKLY HOLIDAYS from SATURDAY TO SATURDAY, between 1st April and 31st October. We do not do shorter stays.

Both caravans have double glazing and central heating and provide comfortable self-catering accommodation. They are kitted out with everything you need to enjoy your visit, including oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, television, pots & pans, cutlery and crockery, etc. You just need to bring your own sheets and towels. A full inventory will be provided with your booking confirmation.
Bablock Hythe is a quiet hideaway, nestled in beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, beside the river Thames. With landscaped grounds, a mile of waterside frontage, boat moorings and river fishing, you’ll never want to leave. Park facilities include a laundry, and the Ferryman Inn pub is located by the park entrance and serves food and drink in a large beer garden overlooking the river.
The park is situation between Witney, Abingdon and Oxford, and there is lots to do in the area. Highlights include walking/boating/fishing on the river Thames, and visiting Blenheim Palace and historic Oxford.
Local Things To Do:
Towns - Picturesque local villages include Woodstock, Letchlade, Bibury, Stanton Harcourt and Longmoor, and the famous university town of Oxford is only twelve miles away.
Stately Homes & Gardens - Blenheim Palace (2200 acres landscaped by Capability Brown), Kingston Bagpuize House, Buscot Park, Basildon Park, and the Oxford Botanic Garden.
Museums - Oxford offers the Ashmolean, the Natural History museum and the Pitt Rivers museum. There is also the Railway Centre at Didcot, the Vale & Downland museum at Wantage, and the Pendon model railways museum at Long Wittenham.
Nature – The Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens at Burford, and the Crocodile Zoo at Brize Norton.
Entertainment – There are cinemas in Oxford, Abingdon and Whitney, and a selection of theatres in Oxford.
Eating & Drinking – The Ferryman Inn is located adjacent to the park. Other local pubs include the Red Lion at Northmoor and the Rose Revived pub at the New Bridge. There is a good selection of restaurants in Whitney and Oxford.
Activities – For walking there are lots of footpaths in the area. The 184 mile Thames Path National Trail passes the park entrance, and the Great Ridge Way can be picked up between Swindon and Princes Riseborough. You can play golf at Frilford Heath. Horse riding at Southmoor. Swimming at the Witney Leisure Centre. Boating in the river Thames from the banks of the park. Boat hire is available at the Rose Revived Pub and Farmoor. Sailing in the lakes at the West Oxfordshire Sailing Club.
