With a 3-mile golden sandy beach perfect for families and dog lovers alike, Port Haverigg also boasts a 200-acre freshwater private lake which is not only stunning, but it is the only lake in the Lake District with NO speed restrictions, meaning it is a water sports enthusiast ‘dream come true’. The Lakes Aqua Park offers thrilling opportunities for all the family.

For the climbers and walkers, there is the mighty Scafell and the not-so-daunting Coniston Old Man, the Langdales, Tarn Hows and Black Coombe mountains. Golfers can delight in many golf courses including several challenging links courses within the area. Equestrians can enjoy horse riding on the beach and up the fells. For rail enthusiasts, Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway provide 7 miles of spectacular scenery, the line runs from Ravenglass to Dalegarth Station near Boot in the valley of Eskdale. Or travel back in time at Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, jump aboard the train at Haverthwaite Station and enjoy views from your carriage up to Lakeside, the southern tip of Lake Windermere.

Situated by the Hodbarrow Lagoon & RSPB Nature Reserve, this beautiful location is perfect for bird watchers and nature lovers alike. With its abundant wildlife and surrounding scrub and grassland, it is home to songbirds, rare plants, and natterjack toads whilst marsh and bee orchids add colour to the flower-rich grasslands. The Lake District has many wonderful houses and castles to visit among them are Holker Hall; an Elizabethan House with a stunning garden, Muncaster Castle with its owl sanctuary, Levens Hall and its garden in its original 1694 design and stately topiary, Sizergh Castle and its fern and limestone garden, Beatrix Potter’s house at Hill Top and Dove Cottage in Grasmere which is home of the poet William Wordsworth.

For foodies, there is an endless supply of places to eat and drink. The on-site Ski bar is open 7 days a week and offers meals and drinks in spacious surroundings. From a traditional chippy in Haverigg to quaint 15th-century pubs in nearby Broughton-in-Furness, to Michelin-starred restaurants such as L’enclume in Cartmel.

Our caravan is situated on a lovely end plot on the Grizedale area on park, just a short walk to the main facilities including the restaurants, pools and activities.
We have a lovely outdoor grass seating area with a bench and solar lights to enjoy the sun into the evening.

Inside, the caravan has three bedrooms each sleeping 2 people and boasts an extra sofa bed if needed, all bedding and towels are provided!
With a fun and stylish theme throughout both children and adults are sure to love staying here!


In the newly refurbished for 2023 front room we have a 40 inch smart TV where you can access your own Netflix, Disney+, Amazon prime (and the rest) and free unlimited WIFI is also available.

Our prestige Willerby Avonmore is sited on a spacious plot with lots of natural light, benefitting from lots of sunlight. The decking provides a nice seating area and better security for your four legged friend and of course, young two legged ones. We are sited just seconds from the end of the dog walk and the sea wall.
Haven passes are not included in our prices as many guests visit for access to the Lake District and surrounding towns.

Our lovely caravan is at Haven's Lakeland Leisure Park, https://www.haven.com/parks/lake-district/lakeland/ just a 4 minute walk from the main complex and is within 10 minute drive to Cartmel (races) and Grange-over-sands with Windermere being approx 20 miles away. A Relaxing holiday for those wanting to take in the beautiful scenery of the Lake District or get involved in all that Haven Lakeland has to offer. Close to all local amenities and Cark railway station.

The caravan has a modern spacious interior to give you that home from home feel and is warm and cosy thanks to gas central heating, insulation and double glazing. There is a flat screen TV with Freeview channels, a DVD player, CD/Radio system, Books, games and maps available for your use.

The large roomy master bedroom is en suite with lots of storage space and the twin room benefits with lots of space also. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay and comes with a full size fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, sandwich maker and full size gas cooker. For those inclined an iron and Ironing board are available.

Please note we provide mattress protectors, pillows and duvets,, Guests are advised to supply their own bedding and towels.
Short breaks, weekly and two week holidays are available.

Lakeland Leisure Park has a great indoor heated swimming pool with an outdoor pool and a kid’s play area. There is non-stop family entertainment at Lakeland, character breakfasts, archery and mini fencing. Low Ropes course and Golf etc There is Lakeside restaurant, bar-cafe, Papa John's Pizza and the traditional fish and chip shop.

The golf course is a par 36, 9 hole available at extra cost or even a game of bowls.

From Lakeland Leisure Park up the lane is the miniature village, and local pubs which do food. You can drive to Haverthwaite and take a combined Steam Train/Cruise on Lake Windermere, visit the world of Beatrix Potter, Holker Hall is two miles away and Lakeside and Haverthwaite is about 7.5 miles
