Thirkleby Hall is a spacious and scenic 30 acre park, set in the grounds of an old stately home, with woods full of animals, a lake full of fish, and a club full of friendly people. Situated on a slight rise with distant views of Sutton Bank and the White Horse, 4 miles from the pretty market town of Thirsk and 20 miles from the historic city of York, the park makes an ideal base for exploring the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside.

We have two caravans available for hire that can be rented for WEEKLY HOLIDAYS from SATURDAY TO SATURDAY between 1st March and 31st October. We do not do shorter stays.

One caravan has 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to four people. The other has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up the 6 people. Dogs are permitted in the 2 bedroom caravan (max 2 dogs).

Both caravans provide comfortable self-catering accommodation, are fitted with double glazing and central heating, and are fully kitted out with everything you need to enjoy your visit, including oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, television, pots & pans, cutlery and crockery, etc. You just need to bring your own sheets and towels. A full inventory will be provided with your booking confirmation.

Thirkleby Hall is located in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside, between the Dales and the Moors, and there is lots to do in the area. Picturesque local towns include Thirsk, the spa town of Harrogate and the walled city of York.

Places of interest to visit include Beningbrough Hall, Sutton Park, Newby Hall & Gardens, Lotherton Estate, Nunnington Hall, Sion Hill Hall, Castle Howard (the setting for Brideshead Revisited), Harlow Carr, Middleham Castle, Ripley Castle, Helmsley Castle, Burnby Hall, Duncombe Park, Gilling, Thorp Perrow Arboretum, Helmsley Walled Garden, the Herriot Centre in Thirsk. York contains the Jorvik Viking Centre, York Castle Museum, York Dungeon, National Railway Museum, and the Yorkshire Museum. There is also the James Cook Museum at Whitby, the Yorkshire Carriage Museum at Aysgarth, and the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington.

Local theme parks include Lightwater Valley at Ripon, Flamingoland Zoo at Malton, Alpamere water park and Luna Park funfair at Scarborough. On a smaller scale there is also the Falconry Centre at Thirsk, and Monk Park Farm at Bagby.

There are cinemas in Thirsk, Ripon, Harrogate and York. Theatres in Harrogate and York. There is a good selection of pubs and restaurants in Thirsk. Famous local eateries include Betty’s tea-rooms in York and Harrogate, and Harry Ramsden’s Fish & Chips at Guisely.

The park is located between two National Parks, the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Moors, and there are lots of places to go walking, such as the Sutton Bank which is part of the Cleveland Way Trail, a 109 mile walking route running from Helmsley to Filey. You can play golf at Thirsk and Thistle Hill. Horse riding at Boltby Trekking Centre. Swimming at the Thirsk Leisure Centre. Fishing in the lake on the park. If you are feeling more adventurous, you can go gliding at the Yorkshire Gliding Club.

Although the park is located inland, there are nice beaches within 50 miles at Filey and Scarborough.

Our luxury 2021 6 berth caravan is sited on Willow Grove in a quiet cul-de-sac - only a few minutes walk from the park!

The fully equipped kitchen includes a full sized fridge/freezer, microwave and oven. Tea towels are provided as well as a kettle and toaster and all crockery and utensils. The caravan is beautifully decorated with 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 twin). All bedrooms have wardobe space, 2 have a TV and bedding is provided free of charge. Private driveway and large side decking with furniture and gate - perfect for young children. The cosy lounge has a log burner effect electric fire and an L shaped sofa with cushions which can also be pulled into a sofa bed if required. The bathroom includes a full sized shower, toilet and wash basin and there is also another seperate WC and wash basin.

A £100 refundable security deposit is required upon booking to secure your dates and will be refunded upon final inspection of the caravan if no loss or damage has occurred. The final balance must be paid 6 weeks before your arrival.

Passes should be purchased directly from Flamingo Land reception upon arrival.
No smoking and no pets allowed. No single sex groups as per Flamingo Land rules.

This brand new caravan is larger than your average van and boast an en suite to the master bedroom with a shower..and is the only van of its kind on flamingo land.

The caravan is of a high standard of furnishings and accessories.

Our new addiction is a SWIFT MARGAUX 2023 8-berth 3 bedrooms with the master bedroom having a en-suite, 2 larger than normal bedrooms with single beds. Goose and duck down feather bedding and pillows
our prestige caravan also has 2 w/c one being the main bathroom with a double shower cubicle enclosed with LED lighting.

The main living area creates a open plane feel with a upgraded kitchen with dish washer, full-size integrated fridge freezer, integrated microwave oven, full-sized gas oven with hob & extractor fan, air fryer, toaster, coffee machine and a slow cooker giving all the home from home features you will require for your stay.

The dining area has a no fixed dining table with 4 chairs on show with a extra 2 chairs if required.

The main feature is the lounge area with a 4 seater no fixed sofa which converts to a luxury double bed, a wall-mounted smart TV with Bluetooth speaker with all channels open including Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and Apple TV.
There is also a 2 seater not fixed sofa situated to view the large open patio doors leading to a larger than average Veranda which you find Table and Chairs for outdoor dining and a corner suit for those chill and sunbathing moments

The Caravan is situated on the popular Willow Grove area on a larger than average prime plot, a sun worship dream having sun from sunrise to sunset. It is also close to the main entrance of Willow Grove and an area called The inner circle giving you a short walk to the Main Park, Supermarket, Leisure Centre and Laundrette.

Outside you will find a rear patio area with Composite Bench Seating & Table, BBQ Area and a Large Storage Shed to keep your pushchair and your cases safe etc.

It has 2 play areas adjacent to the stream and a football field (perfect for playing in), small shop, launderette and bathroom. The Park is situated in an idyllic valley in the North York Moors National Park, and is located between the historical village of Osmotherley and the picturesque Cod Beck Reservoir (10 min walk) with a superb network of footpaths and cycle tracks all on the doorstep. Osmotherley (10 min walk) has excellent restaurants, pub and shops and is an incredibly popular destination for visitors.
